MLM Success | Most Important Key to Success
What do you think is the most important key to your success in MLM? Are you guessing products? Most people do. That’s not the answer. Yet that’s how most people choose their MLM Company. First, they fall in love with the products first then they decide to sell the products. That way is totally backwards and can lead to frustration and failure! May I suggest finding a good company first, and then falling in love with their products.
The Pizza Story
Let me tell you a story about two friends of mine, Sheila and her husband, Wally. They were looking for a business to own and found a pizza place. It had the best pizza in town. The owner of the pizza joint was retiring and my friends decided to buy it. They knew everyone would buy their incredible pizza once the word got out about how good it was. Their fortune was right around the corner!
My friends took the plunge and bought the business, they loved the idea of being their own boss and creating a solid customer base providing them with life long residual income. But, there were problems. After jumping in they discovered the books have been fudged and the store wasn’t as profitable as it had appeared. Something else they uncovered was the health inspector had shut the restaurant down at least 5 times in the past year. Also, the shelves were stocked with expired ingredients which they had to replace. They started to realize their pizza place hadn’t been well managed and did not enjoy a good reputation.
The “timing” of the product was off. People were starting to prefer Mexican food to just “plain pizza.” Therefore, the clientele had been slowly dropping away.
The store only offered pizza, and their customers wanted choices. Therefore they went to another restaurant down the street where there was more of a selection.
The store had very high overhead. It was located in a high rent district. Because of this, the pizza was expensive. Nobody cared how good was. They’d rather spend their money on a fancier restaurant than pay the high price for pizza.
Because of the high overhead they couldn’t afford to pay their employees a competitive salary. As soon as they were hired and trained they’d leave. They were constantly hiring and training new employees.
It took a long time to make each pizza because there were no systems in place and with the high employee turnover no one was able to teach and train them.
Great product, sour business model.
Can you see how this applies to MLM companies? Many people get involved in MLM because they just love the products and think it will be an “easy sell.” They join their company and are hit with the reality that just because the product is great, it doesn’t mean you’ll be successful.
The first thing you must do before joining a company is ask, does it have company management with integrity? To find out, read the company’s policy and procedures. You may be very surprised at what you’ll find. You may find you are building their company, not yours. Many companies have added new clauses stating you must provide continuous, ongoing training to receive your check. Another bad clause to look for is 30-day termination without notice. Don’t fool yourself. This does happen in our industry!
Timing is everything
How about timing in the industry? Make sure there is a high demand for your products or services. If the company is old, you’ll have an uphill battle with people saying they’ve heard of it before. If the company is a start up you could be building only to have it go out of business and take everything out with it. A 3-5 year old company is best.
Make sure you have more than one product in your MLM company, preferably one that’s consumable. One product companies will have a good run for a few years, but then flat line.
Everyone has to be able to make money in your company, not just the heavy hitters. If you have to work you rear end off to make 5%, people won’t stay around very long. A pay plan must pay part time average people a decent amount of money. Otherwise they’ll be out dropping out like flies.
Lastly you need a MLM company with a proven, duplicatable system with upline support and training. Everyone I talk to just wants to know how to do this thing we call MLM and how to do it successfully. If you are trying to figure it out yourself with no one in your company teaching you how, it will be a long, tough road my friend!
There you have it. I suggest, if you want massive MLM success, remember the first most important key is a good company. When you find one with all of the above in place, I can assure you, they’ll have awesome products for you to fall in love with. Then you’ll be on the road to MLM success!

MLM Business-Dreams….Is she Nuts?
When I was first introduced to a MLM business, I was told to start dreaming again. My first thought was, “Is this woman nuts? Doesn’t she know that I was told to stop dreaming a long time ago? These are the cards I’ve been dealt and I’m dealing with them the best that I can!” Frankly, I thought she had just dropped in from another planet! After all, we’re the adults here, dreaming is for kids, the ones with their whole lives ahead of them! Besides, if I start dreaming again then I’ll really have to deal with how my life isn’t supposed to be this way!
Learning to dream again!
As you can probably tell, I was totally dream averse! I was just trying to get by! Well, with that little suggestion, to dream, a seed was planted! At first, it was really scary, but then, my mind took over. I started to think what it would be like to have the life I’ve always wanted, and what kind of life do I really want? I would let my mind wander at different times and I’d let myself think, what if it really could be different, what if I could have that life? After all, there are other people who live the life of their dreams, why couldn’t I be one of them? So started my journey into MLM, I started to dream again!
How about YOU?
I think the older and busier we get, we accept things as they seem to be and just deal with them. I know I did! But it doesn’t have to be that way. The power is in your mind, your thoughts! Your mind is so powerful, and if you pay a little bit of attention to your thoughts and dreams you can really have what you want!
So, here’s my question to you…Can you imagine what your life would be like if you were living the life of you dreams? What do you want? What would you do? Can a MLM business really help reach my dreams? Are you letting life happen to you, or do you want to make your life happen? Do you want to feel like you did when you were a kid again and your whole life was ahead of you? If you answered yes to these questions, then I challenge you! Start dreaming again! It’s all up to you! You don’t have to let me know what your dreams are, but I’d love to hear them!
MLM is the Answer to your DREAMS!
Yes, that’s right! But you have to know a few things first! If you’re looking for the answers in a MLM business, I can help. Just download this free MLM ebook and start dreaming again!

Network Marketing Training | Are You Getting Any?
By Network Marketing training I mean something solid, not some rah, rah, we’ve got the best company so just keep talking to people. I’m talking about good meat and potatoes stuff, something you can actually use.
Are you a salesperson?
The vast majority of people who get into network marketing are not salespeople, nor do they wish to become one! Yet the “training” that people get from their upline and companies goes something like this. Now that you’ve joined, get your entire family and all of your friends to join you! Just go out there and talk to everyone within 3 feet of you! Get out of your comfort zone! Get 100 no’s! Call 100 leads a day! And on and on and on, they try to turn you into a salesperson! I’m here to tell you it doesn’t work.
Here’s the funny thing, in my “previous life”, before becoming a stay at home Mom, I was in corporate sales! I sold everything from garbage services to advertising…and I was good! If I wasn’t the #1 rep in a certain month, I was always in the top 3. So when I got into Network Marketing I thought, no problem, piece of cake. Heck I used to cold call on businesses, this will be easy. Well, guess what, it was hard. I did everything my upline told me to do and I still didn’t have success, then, when I asked what else I could do, I was told “Just keep talking to people and don’t quit.” What kind of training is that?
Do you have a simple, duplicatable system?
Well, that system wasn’t duplicatable and it certainly wasn’t simple. I mean, I don’t have a problem with rejection, being in sales I was used to it. But what about the secretary, plumber, teacher, mechanic, retiree, how long do you think they’ll last getting stomped on day in and day out? You need a system that’s rejection free, something that can be followed by anybody, from the corporate CEO to the street cleaner (no offense to the street cleaners out there, I know how you guys feel about those CEO’s!). You also need a training system in place to teach people about people. Network Marketing is a teaching and mentoring business and in order to be successful at that, you must understand people and what makes them “tick”. In many Network Marketing companies their training consists of telling people it’s a numbers game. Well, have you ever been treated like a number? Did you like it? How did it make you feel? Is that the way you want people to feel about you? It’s not a numbers game, it’s about people and people are not numbers.
Most companies don’t have any training in place that is worth anything. Typically it consists of a lot of motivation and “you can do it kind of stuff”, know what, that’s OK. The company’s job really isn’t to train the distributors in the field, their job is to manufacture and ship the products, and then send us our checks. That’s why it’s so important to find an upline or team that has a system in place already. A system that you can plug into, get some good meat and potatoes training, has great support and makes you feel part of a team instead of on an island out there all alone. When you find a network marketing team with good, solid training in place, then it will be magic!

MLM Mistakes
There are many individual that come into MLM and want to work at home who are very new and make some big mistakes that are avoidable. There are also many people in this wonderful industry who have been in it for a while and still don’t have any success. These people are also making the same avoidable mistakes. Today we will look at some of those mistakes and what you can do about them.
Mistake #1
The first mistake, practically everyone makes in this industry, is tying to sell. We are in the teaching and mentoring business. If we are doing this right we are building relationships, not trying to get people into our deal. People can feel the difference when you’re talking to them if you’re trying to sell them something. And, you know what, they don’t like it. Neither do you! You don’t like to be sold and you don’t like the feeling you get when you’re trying to sell something. It just doesn’t sit right deep down inside. So stop it! Build relationships and success will follow. That is key!
Mistake #2
Not checking the background of you company leadership to make sure they have MLM experience with integrity. Why does this matter you ask? Well, do you want to build this once, build it big and build it for your children’s children? Then you better make sure that the people running it know what they’re doing and respect the guys/gals in the field who are building it. The best way to do this is read your companies policies and procedures. As I stated in my last post some of the things that are in some of these companies p&p’s will make you scream! When you read them you’ll realize who you are really building it for…and it’s not you! So please, please read them!
Mistake #3
Not knowing how many people it takes to earn the income you want. Do you want to make 10K per month? OK, then how many people in your organization does it take, in the back end, to make 10K per month? How doable is that? Are you having trouble just keeping 10, 20, or 30?
In most comp plans to make 10K a month, you need anywhere from 1600-5,000 people, depending on how your plan is set up. How doable is that when you can’t even keep 30? I know of a comp plan out there where you need less that 400 people to make 10K. How much easier do you think it is to keep people in that plan….pretty easy I’d say. So make sure you know the numbers, then crunch them to see how doable it is for you.
Mistake #4
Going after your friends and family. Unfortunately, a large majority of companies out there employ this “technique” as their primary source of lead generation. Ouch! Let me just tell you from personal experience, your “warm market” is the coldest out there! If you’re in a company where this is the primary source of lead generation, you are in for a hard time my friend! This technique does not work. The best leads are the ones you generate yourself and if your company, team, or upline doesn’t have a system in place to do that, it’s going to be very tough.
That should be enough for you to think about today! But, if you’re anxious to learn more about this incredible industry and more on how to avoid mistake in MLM, then download this free eBook for some great insider information!

MLM Business | P & P’s
When you signed up for your MLM business, did you read your companies P & P’s, or Policies and Procedures? I know I didn’t with my first company and I bet you didn’t either. You know what, 90% of distributors never read them before signing up. After all, you’re a trusting person, the company has to protect themselves and you’re thinking I’m sure there’s nothing in there that would hurt me. Unfortunately you could be very wrong.
P & P’s are CONTRACTS!
Yup, you read that right, legal, binding contracts. Meaning if you do something which breaks that contract than they can enforce what’s in that contract, either take your check for a month or even worse, terminate you. Oh, I can hear you right now…I didn’t sign anything, I joined over the internet. Well, smarty pants, did you check that little box saying you agreed to the Policies and Procedures or Terms and Conditions? Of course you did other wise you wouldn’t have been “allowed” to join. Consider yourself legally and literally bound and gagged!
P & P’s Why Should I Care?
Let me ask you a question, who is building this company? Do you want to put all of your blood, sweat and tears into building an organization only to have it ripped out from under you? If that’s OK with you then don’t read the P & P’s, because that is the way these contracts are being written now. MLM has gone big time and I mean big time corporate, big time moola. When you start getting P & P’s 20, 30, 40 + pages long, you know lawyers are writing them. Lawyers who were hired to protect the company, lawyers who are protecting their client, not you.
I was reading a P & P for someone the other day and it states “If the distributor disagrees with the P&P, the distributor should resign.” How do you like them apples? There are many “gotchas” in that company’s P & P and obviously they’ve had distributors complaining. Guess they feel their distributors are a dime a dozen. Many of these “corporate MLM’s” have no regard for the guy/gal in the field building, we are totally dispensable. The stories I’ve heard of people building it, then being let go, or having their checks taken away for the month because they either “violated their Policy & Procedures” or better yet someone in their downline did are sickening. In most of these P&P’s there is so much double and triple talk it’s ridiculous, you can’t even do business without violating something in them.
P & P’s CYA
You know the old saying “Cover your ______.” If the companies have their lawyers writing all of this stuff to protect them, the least you can do for yourself is read what’s in them. I know, I know its worse then reading Beowulf. The stuff in there is enough to make you eyes cross and your head spin like Linda Blair in The Exorcist. But they do that on purpose. My suggestion is to start at the back and read towards the front. They put the questionable stuff in the back and middle because no one ever gets that far when they start from the front. Also, look for words like ongoing training, 30 day termination, termination without cause, etc. Some even have a clause where if your family member violates anything in the P&P’s you can be terminated!!!
Are you building this to retire or are you planning on working this forever? If your P & P has anything about ongoing training, ongoing support, regular, continued performance, etc. guess what you’ll be doing this for the rest of your life if you want to keep you check. And when you pass away your kids will be doing it if they want to keep the money. Please, if nothing else, do yourself a favor and read your P & P’s before you get in too deep and if you’re already in pretty deep and need some help I can do that too.

Work at Home | Color Personality
Color Personality, what does that mean? Well, if you’re in a work at home, MLM, or network marketing business, I can tell you it can really add to your success if you know what it is and how to use it. You see, everyone has a certain personality type. I’m sure you’re aware of this, you see it all the time, and you see how some people are very different from others. Well, there is an actual science behind this and if you know how to use it will make your life and business much easier and less stressful
There are 4 personality types; yellow, blue, green and red. Each of these colors processes communication and information differently. It’s crucial that you know how to communicate with each color in a way that makes sense to them, if you don’t they’ll shut you out and you’ll get nowhere fast!
Yellow Color Personality
Yellows are open and indirect they make up 35% of the population. These are wonderful people, they are the nurturers, and they are great listeners, fantastic team players, patient and supportive. These people are very open with their feelings, but when you ask them a question, they answer it and stop, they don’t volunteer any more information, it’s almost as if they don’t want to impose too much on the conversation. Yellows have built the largest MLM organizations, when they get their beliefs right and believe they can do it. They enjoy life and hate any kind of confrontation, they also don’t like pushy aggressive salespeople, if you try to “push” them or “get them in your deal” they will be out the door and you’ll never see them again. Take your time and build a relationship, teach them, help them. If you do that with a Yellow color personality, you’ll have an awesome team member!
Blue Color Personality
A blue is open and direct, if you ask them a question, they’ll never stop answering and when they do, they’ll forget what the question was! This combination of open and direct means that the blue color personality is very confident in what they do and what they know. They are the life of the party and everyone’s friend! Blues love to be with people and like attention. They are very creative people and make up 15% of the population.
Green Color Personality
Green is indirect, like the Yellow but self contained; they also make up 35% of the population. They are very calculating; they need all the facts and figures before they make any decisions. When you are talking to a green, they’re trying to figure out why you’re asking the question. It’s important for you to remember to slow... down... your... speech, don’t talk too fast or they won’t trust you; they will think you’re just some slick salesperson. So when you ask a question, let it sink in, take a breath, before you go on. They expect you to listen to what they have to say, they think they are the smartest people on the planet, and if you don’t slow down with them, they’ll scratch you off their list. Don’t try to sell a green, after they get all of the information they’ll sell themselves, and besides, that’s what you really want anyway!
Red Color Personality
The red color personality is VERY direct, like the blue, so sometimes people get them confused, but they are self contained, they will NOT let you see their weakness. So they are direct, but self contained. They will ask questions and control the conversation, they are in charge! They are money motivated; everything in their life revolves around success and being #1. A yellow isn’t at all focused on money and yet they often have more of it than a red. A red is uncoachable, so don’t even try, they like their ego stroked and they demand a show of respect. The Red color personality makes up 15% of the population.

MLM Business | Advertising
Can you advertise in your MLM business? I can’t tell you how many people I have spoken to recently that are not allowed to advertise their MLM business! Not advertise their mlm products, not advertise their mlm opportunity, nothing!
How Are You Going to Get Business?
When I’m told this, the first thought that enters my mind is; these poor people! How are they going to reach their dreams, goals and desires?! They are excited, everything is within their reach, or so they are led to believe.
Then they are hit with the “write down 100 names” thing, and they start to get that “sinking” feeling. It hits way down, in the pit of your stomach, you wonder, can I really “sell” my friends and family?
Oh, don’t worry they say, you’re not really “selling” you’re “sharing”…yeah, right! You know what it is, and more importantly, you know what it feels like and it feels like you’re selling. So you ask, well what about advertising, that makes sense to you and, now here’s the best part, in your MLM business they say you can’t advertise, it’s all work of mouth. Now you’re really getting that Uh oh feeling…you’re thinking, how is this supposed to work? Can I really do this without advertising?
Without Advertising MLM Doesn’t Work
Why doesn’t it work? Because 92% of the population is sales resistant and they don’t like to sell or be sold, only a small few like to sell and be sold, they’re the Red personalities. Those 8% are the ones telling the rest of us to make those 100 name lists. We want to be successful, so we make that list, and it doesn’t work!
Ok, let’s just say that you dig in there and MAKE yourself do it. You make your list; you white knuckle it and just get it done. Now you’re stuck with this dilemma, how duplicatable is it?
Can the people you’ve brought in do it? There in lies the problem. Maybe you can do it, but you know how hard it really is, how hard the rejection is to take. See, you have a conscious, you know what these people are going to be running into and in the back of your mind, because you are caring person, it’s hard for you to subject anyone else to that kind of rejection.
Unless you’re a diehard Red personality, it’s totally against your nature. You care about people and don’t want them to have to deal with all that rejection too.
Advertising Is the Answer!
You see, non MLM businesses have known this all along. Why, because it works!
Even better, target your advertising. Only talk to the people who’ve raised their hands and say I want to hear about what you have. That’s rejection free advertising. Not everyone will want what you have, and that’s perfectly OK, don’t talk to them and you won’t be rejected. Anyone can do that! When you take rejection out of the equation it’s duplicatable for everyone. That’s what you want.
There are so many companies out there tying their distributor’s hands, telling them you can’t advertise here, or you can’t advertise there or you can’t advertise at all. It’s strictly belly to belly “word of mouth” advertising they say, “Because it’s the most effective form of advertising”.
OK, if it’s so effective how come it’s so hard to do? After all it is called Network Marketing not Network beat your friends and family over the head until they buy or join!
Remember 92% of the population doesn’t like to sell or be sold, so don’t do it! Advertising is the answer and if your company doesn’t allow it, then your company is tying your hands and you need to find a company who will untie them and let you build it the right way for you!

MLM Compensation
MLM Compensation is a subject which is near and dear to my heart! If you’re trying to earn additional money from home, I’m sure it’s a subject you’re interested in learning about too.
Did you know that the mlm compensation plan drives the behavior in the field? The sad thing is, most people involved in MLM have NO IDEA what type of compensation plan they are in, let alone be able to describe it! So they stumble around doing everything they are told to do to be successful, but the MLM compensation plan their company employs does not suit their personality type.
Today I’m going to write about the most popular MLM compensation plan, the stair step breakaway, what it is, who it works for, and who it kills in the business.
Stair step Breakaway, MLM Compensation Plan Star!
According to the MLM Insider the stair step breakaway compensation plan is, without question, the most common of all compensation plans.
What most people don’t know or even understand is that, also according to the MLM Insider, they work best for full time people in the business. Now, 95% of the people in MLM are part timers, but most of the compensation plans out there are, according to the MLM Insider, are designed for full time people.
For those part timers struggling out there, is it starting to get a little clearer as to why you might be having a problem? And the problem isn’t you!!
Am I in a Stair Step Breakaway MLM Compensation Plan?
Again, according to the MLM Insider, a stair step breakaway MLM compensation plan typically has 3 to 4 increasing rank positions which can be achieved by meeting progressively higher sales volume requirements over a specified period of time.
All of your distributors under you are considered part of you group volume until they reach a certain volume, then they “breakaway” from you forming their own group. Typically the distributor who brought them into the company and spent the time training and helping them get started in the business loses all or most of that volume and they have to start again.
With most breakaways, there is a certain level of volume, i.e. Quota, that has to be met each month in order to qualify for commissions or promotions. This type of plan also lends itself to “front loading.” It may be under the guise of inventory or “letting people try before they buy”, but it’s all the same thing, front loading.
The distributors/consultants need to keep their volume pumped up so they can keep their position in the compensation plan. Now, there are different “varieties” of this type of comp plan, but they mostly boil down to having to attain a certain monthly quota and people leaving your organization just when they start to get good!
These plans also lead to a recruit, recruit mentality because you always feel like you are either behind or about to be behind, it can lead to people doing some pretty crazy stuff.
Who Would Do Well With This Type of Compensation Plan?
When I first go into the business, I was in a stair step breakaway compensation plan, although I had no idea I was. I listened to my sponsor and upline who told me not to worry about the comp plan, it was too confusing they said, just go out there and talk to everyone you can about how wonderful this company and our products are.
I didn’t do too well! As a matter of fact, most people in my company were not doing too well!
But, when I looked around at the people who were really kicking butt, it was the small percentage of the population who were hard driving, take no prisoners, type A personalities, or Reds.
These are the type of people who do well with this type of MLM Compensation plan. The 92% of the rest of us, who are sales resistant, or don’t like being “sold” things, will not do well in this type of plan, it is the kiss of death for us.
When I learned that, I looked for a company with a MLM compensation plan that was right for me and my type personality, that’s when the pieces of the puzzle started falling into place!
I suggest, you do the same, and if you need help in determining the right MLM compensation plan for you, I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you have!

MLM Business|Love at First Sight!
Yes, when started in my first MLM business, it was love at first sight! There was the typical excitement. I LOVED the products, LOVED the thought of all that money, LOVED the excitement and LOVED being able to do it part time at home. I’m a stay at home Mom.
Sign me up!
So, I joined! I paid a lot of money so people could try the products out for themselves. Hey, I was gonna be making big bucks, what’s a couple thousand in start up costs…right?! Wouldn’t recommend it now! Went to all the local meetings, got on all the conference calls, attended all the seminars within 4 hours, and talked and talked and talked to all the people I knew and met (luckily it’s not my nature to be pushy, so they’re still my friends!) and guess where it got me? You probably already know, maybe it’s happening to you,…Nowhere! My first MLM love was becoming tarnished!
Frustrated, upset, confused
These were the first signs my love for my MLM business was diminishing! Hey, I wasn’t a loser! How come all these other people in my company could do it and I couldn’t? Although, looking around at the team I was on nobody else was doing it either, guess that was a clue!
Looking for answers
One day I was searching the internet looking for something, anything, to help me build my business and resurrect my first MLM love! That’s when I found my knight in shining armor! The MLM business ebook, Successs in 10 Steps and realized the company I was with wasn’t the right fit for me.
Shock and Awe
Now, at first, I was stunned. I thought ,how could that be? These products are great, other people are making it, maybe, I should just stick with it and work harder. Although, I didn’t know how much harder I could work, I was already doing more that everyone else I knew, plus I was only “part-time”!
Epiphany
Soon after I was driving down the road and had an epiphany. Maybe, if you’re in the same boat as I was, this will help. I realized I was going through a kind of “break-up”, with my first MLM love! At the beginning everything was so wonderful and I was going to the top, unfortunately, I had not educated myself beforehand on what was important to look for in a MLM. So I went blindly along, figuring if it’s good for one it’s good for all.
Learn and grow
I learned that isn’t the case. So just like learning after your first break-up, what you want/need and don’t want/need in a relationship, the same thing applies to your MLM business. Everyone is different and all MLM businesses are not the same for all people. So I encourage you, if you are experiencing loss of love for your MLM all is not lost! Download this free MLM Business eBook for some awesome answers!
Hope this helps!

Work from home|The 7 Things you Need
Well, have I kept you in suspense long enough? As I said in my last post, if you want to be successful in any work from home business, you have to make sure there are 7 things in place.
OK, OK, what are The 7 Things?
Well, there are a couple of important things that need to be in place before you decide to join a company and although you do play a part, there are also many other factors involved.
In many companies you can literally bang your head against a wall for years, doing everything you’re told to do and still not be successful! Can you believe that? Well, it’s true! And, like I said before, It’s not your fault!
#1
The first thing you need to ask yourself is, Is this a 5 pillar company?
See that, the company is the most important thing! It’s not the product! Most people get this totally backwards, they look for a product that they can fall in love.
Don’t get me wrong, the product if very important, but there are many excellent products out there.
If the company is not a 5 pillar company, you can have the best product out there, it can be made of gold, but it won’t make you successful!
If you don’t believe me, ask yourself, do I love the product in my home based business? If the answer is yes, but you’re not attaining the success you’d like then that proves my point! Because, it’s not about the product.
My advice to you is to find a company that fits you, then fall in love with that product, not the other way around.
#2
The second thing you need to know is how to evaluate mlm compensation plans.
You’d be amazed at how many people get into this business, and make no mistake, this is a business, and have no idea how they get paid. Hello! Would you ever accept a J.O.B. and not know how you were going to get paid?
I don’t think so! So why would you do it working from home? Not all comp plans are created equal, some will outright steal from you! Oh, I can hear you right now…”Oh, no, not my company!”
Have you read your mlm policies and procedures or are they way too long? If they’re that long, that’s a clue! Has your comp plan changed so many times you’ve lost count? Are they changing Auto ship policies every six months and taking stuff away when they do?
Then guess what, they’re taking money out of the comp plan and giving you a pay cut. If that’s OK with you, that’s fine, just be aware that’s what they’re doing and they'll keep doing it!

The third thing you must understand is personality types.
Basically, there are four different types of personalities. They are broken down into colors which are Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red.
Knowledge is power. Each of these colors accepts communication differently. You cannot talk to a Yellow the same way you would talk to a Red; if you do they’ll be gone before you get to the next sentence.
This is an extremely important skill in your work from home business.
#4
The fourth thing you must know is how to build your list.
By this I don’t mean writing down 100 names of you friends and family, that doesn’t work in this day and age and isn’t duplicatible. This supposedly “warm” market can be the “coldest” you have!
Let them see your mlm success, then they’ll start asking questions when they are open.
You have to be with a company or upline who teaches you how to build a list without the “help” of your friends and family.
#5
Onto number five. You must be a color profiler.
Remember the color personality types I wrote of earlier? You have to be able to identify who you’re talking to very quickly. I do it as a hobby now.
I like to see how quickly I can identify the personality type of someone I meet, talk to on the phone or email. It’s really fun and makes communicating much easier! You can quickly build a bond with another person when you’re speaking the “same language”.
#6
Alright, number six. You must have a Huge Why.
It has to be a 99.9% Why. It has to be BIG!
Inevitably you will come across challenges in your business, you have to expect that. If your Why is something that doesn’t come from deep down inside, as soon as you hit your first obstacle, something that makes your Why seem “not that important”, you’re outta there.
So it has to be something that really drives you to just keep your head down and keep on movin’.
#7
Last but not least is number seven. You must become a mlm leader.
People don’t join companies, they join people. They join people they believe will help them get where they want to go.
See, it’s all about them. The question they are asking themselves is “Can I do this, and can you help me do it?”
If you’re a leader, that will come through. How do you get there? Spend time on self development, learn the different colors, learn comp plans, build your own list so you can teach others how to do it, be a Mentor.
Remember in order to be a Mentor you have to have a Mentor. I can help and Mentor you so you can do it for others.
A Work from Home business isn’t always easy, but it can be the path to ease in life! Download this free Work from Home ebook to help create your life of ease!
To you and your Success!
